Common Questions

Where do I park?

You may enter at the east or west parking lot entrances off of 170th Street or from the south off of University Avenue. Greeters will meet you at the doors to welcome you and help answer any of your questions.

What’s available for my child?

Our Children’s Church meets during our worship times, where a loving staff provides a babysitting service for babies (ages 0–2) and age-appropriate worship and learning activities for the following age groups: ages 3–5, ages 6–8, and ages 9–11.

Teens (ages 12-18) join us in worship every Sunday and actively participate every third Sunday, where they serve as ushers, greeters, read the announcements, sing in the youth choir, and along with the young adults and children’s troupe, and minister through praise dance. Every second Saturday of the month our teens gather for Teen Night where they play basketball and volley ball in the gym, play table games and eat pizza. Youth leaders are nearby to both chaperone and minister.

Upon arrival, ask an usher or greeter to point you in the direction of Children’s Church. Parents must sign in their children, including ages and allergies. Infants and preschool age children are given wristbands. The parent is given a number corresponding with the number on their child’s wristband. If an issue arises (the child is ill, crying, etc.), the child’s number is entered into an electronic box and the number displays on the digital box over the choir area.

What should I wear?

Whatever you feel comfortable in! You’ll see people dressed in casual clothes and suits worshiping side-by-side at Christ Community. We’re much more interested in meeting you than in what you choose to wear.

What do you have for adults?

We have a full range of opportunities for adults at all stages of life to meet together to socialize, study God’s Word together, pray together, and serve together—Ministries, Men’s and Women’s groups, Young Adults, Married Couples and Senior Adults, to name a few. Click on the Ministries page to find out more!

So, what’s service like?

Our Sunday morning service starts promptly at 10:30 AM with spirited praise to unite congregants. We are led in praise and worship by a contemporary praise team and band whose aim is to help us experience the presence of the Lord together. Within the worship service you will not be asked to introduce yourself, however, we do have a special place in the service to greet you “in our own inimitable way!”

What style of music do you play?

Our high energy worship service includes a range of music from contemporary styles to traditional gospel songs. Our music and songs help give fitting expression to our love for the Lord.

What style of preaching can I expect?

Bible-based, relevant, contemporary, practical, and easy to understand. We bodly proclaim the unchanging Word of God!
